Microscan partner ISW GmbH organized a very successful open house on 13 March 2013 at their premises in Kaln-Reisiek, Germany. Microscan was proud to be part of the program and had the chance to meet with many industry professionals from Germany to discuss new applications for barcode and machine vision in industrial manufacturing and other markets. During the event, the Microscan team gave a presentation about machine vision applications using smart cameras, focusing particularly on our Vision HAWK smart camera and AutoVISION 2.0 machine vision software.
We led two presentations during the day, introducing our company and describing the impact of new innovations in our machine vision line such as new features of AutoVISION machine vision software from verification and communication via EtherNet/IP. The 50 attendees of the event were also able to get a closer look at our machine vision application demonstrations in action from the Microscan table.
The Microscan sales team for Germany, Helmuth Zierer and I, engaged in several discussions with visitors about potential applications for machine vision, its benefits and limitations, plus some basic project evaluations. Our partner ISW was also very happy with the attendance - their event was so popular, they even had to close registration early after reaching the maximum number of registrants. Thanks to the success of this event, ISW is planning to organize an additional open house in the autumn. We hope Microscan will be able to take part in this event as well!
